Due to the Amsterdam Coffee Festival getting cancelled, for obvious reasons, nobody was able to enter the Roastmasters competion. Yet, we were fully prepared and had some seriously good stuff in the house. These coffees were roasted to be enjoyed, so we decided to offer all three categories in one great box. Limited offer, only 10 ever available. Be fast!

Discipline 1: The Single Origin

(free sample Suke Quto - filter 160g)

  • 5 kg of the same single origin green coffee is sent to competitors 3 weeks prior to the competition.

  • The coffee should be roasted by competitors in advance of the event at their own premises using their in-house equipment

  • Each roaster is required to create and define a unique signature roasting profile which will be presented during the competition.

Discipline 2: The Espresso Blend

(Roastmasters Blend - omniroast 1kg)

  • Competing Roasters are invited to design a unique espresso blend at their own premises using their in-house equipment and own coffee

  • The blend should be commercially viable and tailored to the roaster’s own local market.


Discipline 3: The Pour Over

(Burundi - Nyarugumba - filter 250g)

  • Competing Roasters are invited to design and roast a unique filter coffee roast (single origin or blend) of their choosing at their own premises using their in-house equipment and own coffee

  • The filter roast and chosen pour-over brewing method should demonstrate creativity, innovation and the pushing of boundaries in specialty coffee roasting and taste

  • Competing Roasters should ask themselves the question: how far can you take coffee?

Across three days, eighteen of Europe's most renowned coffee roasters compete for the coveted Roast Masters title. In a dynamic, live setting, where visitors can encourage their favourite participants up close, the roasters compete side-by-side in three disciplines: roasting coffee, blending espresso and preparing a pour over coffee.

Roast Masters is the ultimate test of skills, professional knowledge and commercial applicability - A unique opportunity to excel under the watchful eye of important industry players, an international audience, and not to mention a panel of prominent jury members.
