Mauricio has concocted a secret blend specially dedicated to gentle methods. This blend with a tangy profile is expressed in a cup, revealing all the character and specificity of the volcanic soils of the Ataco terroir.

 

THE TERROIR OF ATACO

The terroir of Ataco is located in the famous volcanic mountain range Apaneca - Ilamatepec. Concepcion de Ataco is also a small town, known to the locals as the place of high springs. 
This region was the first to produce coffee in El Salvador. It now lists many large properties belonging to families of producers for several generations. It offers the cup such complexity and aromatic diversity that it is impossible to draw up a typical profile.

 

THE STORY OF THE PRODUCER

If you want to talk to a microlot expert, you need to get in touch with Mauricio. 
He uses innovative coffee processes, is meticulous, and above all always smiles! Mauricio works hard to respectnot only the environment but also his workers. 
He puts his great expertise into providing a wide range of coffees, skilfully juggling with the different varieties and processes. When tasting his coffees, you can sense a certain subtlety, and some quite “feminine” profiles. 
We already work with his Villa Galicia and Himalaya farms, and this year we will be introducing Cruz Gorda and the El Divisadero and El Copo plots. 
With Mauricio, the possibilities are endless!
