Our story

WAY started serving coffee, breakfast and lunch in april 2017. Team WAY serves fresh, mostly plant-based and seasonal food in a decor that blends homely elements with an industrial heritage.

If you know about Charlene’s background as one of the pioneering barista’s in Belgium, you will not have been surprised to learn that, two years after opening, WAY started roasting it’s own coffee. Roast Master Ward is the first Belgian coffee roaster to use a Diedrich IR12. Because of it’s infrared technology and superior airflow capabilities WAY Coffee Roasters will be able to offer a unique roasting profile, while at the same time limiting it’s ecological footprint, compared to other roasters.

Our story

Homemade

Not only the food is homemade at WAY. We also brew kefir lemonades, kombuchas and - when the sun is shining - iced teas and cold brew coffee.

Sharing

Sharing is caring. And we care a great deal! Coffee workshops are regularly planned, and it sure looks like the Wild Ferment Event will grow into an annual thing. Aside from these organised forms of knowledge sharing, we very much encourage customers to talk to us about healthy food, fermentation techniques and of course coffee brewing. All of this between the soup and the potatoes, as we say in Belgium :-)
